Het Karbeel

Had a delicious meal with a group of 7 people. Different types of cheese fondue chosen and shared. They were all equally delicious. On the advice also received vegetables in addition to the bread. This was also well liked. Separate mention for the Gluten Free bread on offer. That was also very much appreciated. I myself had chosen Salmon and got a nice large slice with a delicious sauce. Service was very friendly and attentive. The decor and atmosphere in the restaurant was very cozy and the prices, considering the location, were actually quite competitive.

Yesterday we had a lovely meal at Het Karbeel. How delicious is the cheese fondue there. But the other dishes are also recommended, it is much more than just a fondue restaurant. We combined the "Karbeel" Cheese Fondue with a Pinot Grigio and afterwards the Chocolate Fondant or Flensjes. Nothing but good about the food, and the service is always super friendly. If you're there in winter, and you sit by the entrance, the door can make you a bit cold, but that's about it. You have to make a reservation here, otherwise you can often only go after 20:30... but that says enough about the restaurant itself =o)

It is a real fondue palace. Delicious and flavorful. I opted for Suisse fondue...excellent. Service very professional by a young man who was ready to help with anything. Price reasonable for the good food. Recommended. The location is perfect... in the heart of Amsterdam, close to Central Station, Dam Square...

If you are fond of cheese fondue and you are in Amsterdam then you really have to go to 't Karbeel. We come here every year in the winter, but now also once on the warmest day of September. And then cheese fondue also tastes very good ;-). Rosée with it and traditionally the crepe Suzette for dessert: perfect. We were with a group of more than 20 people and all received our food quickly and simultaneously. Service is always super friendly. Think we'll be back in the winter soon.
